Selecting a Business School

Is geographical location important?

The format of your course will determine how often you need to visit your business school in person.

The distance learning MBA format has a distinct advantage over other formats in this respect in that you may only have to attend in person on very rare occasions. With the advent of effective internet based learning you might select an institution that has its faculty base many thousands of miles away from where you actually live! Even if you have to take a plane ride to occasionally visit the business school this cost might easily be offset against a saving in tuition fees.

Another factor is whether you wish to conduct your studies whilst learning another language. Many schools in continental Europe for example teach the major modules of their MBA in English, with elective modules taught in their local language.
